A friend of mine who was for a year or more had had liver enzyme elevation and signs of hepatitis or developing cirrhosis had a very prolonged ultrasound examination of her liver and a couple of weeks later went back for another exam and her liver had completely recovered. I suspect it was from that very half an hour or so of looking around with an ultrasound imaging device.
